William NicolĀ is the Aviation Director for MAF International.

William first joined MAF in 1998 and first worked as a programme pilot in Tanzania until 2002 and then as the Chief Training Captain for MAF until 2006. After a break from 2007-2011 where he was the Head of Training at CTC Aviation Training based in Hamilton, New Zealand, William and his family returned to MAF in 2012. He was the Flight Training Manager for MAF International until 2014 and then he began his current role.

William is primarily based in Cairns but is often in Mareeba instructing MAF pilots, or in the different MAF programmes across the globe. He holds Commercial Pilots Licences in eight different countries and has Instructors Rating in seven of those. William trains both pilots and instructor pilots and has extensive overseas experience in flying, training and management roles.
