Michael Vogel joined our team of flight instructors in early 2017 and is a casual instructor at the training centre. He has been a pilot with MAF since 2007, first serving in the Arnhem Land programme for three years and then as DHC-6 and C208 Captain in Papua New Guinea for almost seven years.
Originally from Switzerland, Michael has undertaken his flight training in three completely different places … in Switzerland, in Hawaii and in Melbourne. Amongst all his other pilot’s licences, back in 2000 Michael also gained his Swiss Aerobatics Licence!
Michael and his family are based in Cairns and he is now using both his training and remote flying experience to equip the students who come through our training centre here in Mareeba.
