Flight instructor Neil Alexander joined the team in Mareeba in early 2018. Neil is a qualified pilot, instructor and engineer and has spent his entire career in the aviation industry, starting as a Hawker de Havilland Aeronautical Engineering Cadet in 1979.
Amongst other positions, Neil worked for Hawker Pacific from 1987 until 2001 as the Design Engineering Manager and CASA CAR 35 Delegate and from 2001 he has been a Director and Principal Engineer of total Aerospace Solutions Pty Ltd.
Since 1992 Neil gained the bulk of his instructional experience, at the Scout Association’s Air Activity Base Camden until he joined MAF with his family in 2015, serving as a line pilot in Arnhem Land. Now based in Mareeba, MAF will be utilising Neil’s wealth of experience in the aviation industry in a number special projects, in addition to his role as an instructor.
