Welcome to MAF Training

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is an international Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft and use other technologies, to bring help and hope to people in some of the world’s poorest communities. Every four minutes a MAF plane is taking off or landing somewhere in the world, assisting missions, churches, aid and development agencies, and other local groups to transform lives and share the love of God.

There are MAF programmes located right across the globe, making a difference in the lives of individuals every single day. In order to maintain this work and ensure that it can continue, MAF are also taking the time to train up future generations of pilots and engineers.

Based in Mareeba, Queensland, alongside the ongoing maintenance of the MAF Asia Pacific Fleet, both pilot training and engineering apprenticeship programmes are offered. They are run in association with Aviation Australia (RTO:30770, CRICOS:02425C) based in Cairns, and are CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) approved.
